Erica practices a soft warm and gentle tone when discussing mental health with clients. She follows the lead of the client to develop a level of trust, support, and empathy. Erica creates a safe and brave space so that individuals, couples and families feel comfortable sharing their feelings without fear of judgment. This creates healthy safe space for individuals to be strengthen while proceeding to their road of a successful emotional wellbeing. Erica’s beliefs are deep-rooted to all having equal access to mental health without the fear of being stigmatized.

Experience

Erica Washington is an Associate Clinical Social Worker that’s very passionate about therapy and helping others. Erica completed her Masters in Social Work with a concentration in Community Mental Health from the California State University of Dominguez. Erica has 10 plus years of experience working with a diverse clientele in individual, families, and group settings. Erica has an incredible way of communicating with adults, adolescents, and children. Her focus and passion in her education and career have been working with children, adolescents, transitional age youth (TAY), adults, and families. Erica also has a strong background working with intensive mental health, psychiatric clients, and commercial sexually exploited children (CSEC). She also has experience providing mental health services within foster care and probation settings. Erica has experience in Narrative Therapy, Trust-Based Relationship Intervention, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution Focused Therapy, Play Therapy, Child-Parent Relationship Training, and Trauma Informed Care.
