Bio
Ryan Ley, MD is originally from Southern California. After studying art
history and art at Dartmouth College, he completed medical school,
residency, and fellowship at the University of Nevada Reno. He is board-certified in Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and Addiction
Medicine.
He worked in an acute hospital setting in Reno for many years,
as well as a residential treatment center for adolescents. He has been
Chief Medical Officer for an addiction program, and an adjunct professor
with UNR. He loves teaching, and getting fresh perspectives from
students. He is a Lieutenant Colonel with the USAF, seeing airmen and
soldiers returning from deployment.
He has three boys, and loves spending time with family, skiing, and cycling. He loves the Rumi quote, "Respond to every call that excites your spirit."
