Kristel Byrd is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the state of Virginia. She received her Master of Social Work from Walden University of Minneapolis, MN with a concentration in Children and Families. Kristel has experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), attachment and relationship development, play in therapy, Life Coaching, Solutions Focused Therapy, Child-Parent Relationship Training, ACEs, child and lifespan development, Family and Couple Therapy, mindfulness practices, natural and holistic treatment, and Trauma Informed Care. She believes that every person's journey is unique, therefore the past should never hold someone back, and so she works to empower individuals to overcome their past and current obstacles. She is passionate about helping all people to find peace in their own unique experience of life. In her free time, Kristel enjoys reading many books, biking (stationary and off road), yoga, meditation for mental peace, exercising for health, dancing wildly, singing terribly, trying new foods and watching her children grow.
