Vanessa Gross was trained as a Medical Doctor with a focus on Psychiatry but made the decision to pursue my passion in Psychology and deepen her skillset in psychotherapy. She grew up in Texas and moved to San Diego where she obtained my Master's in Clinical Counseling. Vanessa's focus is primarily with adults seeking to actively recover and begin their healing process from the anxiety, trauma, and painful life events that have impacted how they see themselves and relate to others. She interested in internal family systems, cognitive and mindfulness-based approaches to help those seeking to navigate difficult emotions. Vanessa likes to work together with her clients to empower them to break down roadblocks that are preventing quality of life and help them move forward. She welcomes all walks of life and enjoys integrating spirituality and faith into therapy if requested. During her free time, Vanessa enjoys the abundance of outdoor activities southern California has to offer, including ocean kayaking, hiking, and spending time at parks with her dog.
To heal is to touch with love that which we previously touched with fear. – Stephen Levine
