He graduated from NYU's Silver School of Social work with a specialization in clinical social work in 2019. Ed has worked with senior citizens, in inpatient psychiatric units, as a drug and alcohol counselor, and as an outpatient therapist with adolescents and adults. Ed has experience in a variety of techniques like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and psychodynamic psychotherapy. His guiding philosophies are person-in-environment theory, person centered therapy, feminist therapy and existential therapy. He believes, however, that the most important part of any therapy, regardless of specialization, education, modality or technique, (or any other acronym, for that matter) is a genuine and authentic relationship with your therapist. Ed is passionate about creating a non-judgmental space to talk openly about the hardest subjects in life. Like many therapists, Ed came to the field first as a client and has never lost the perspective of a fellow patient and colleague. In his free time, Ed enjoys going to concerts, art, board games, mountain biking, woodworking and cooking.
