Danita Davis is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, AMFT #128723. Employed by Cerebral. Supervised by Jeanine Bourcier, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Danita earned her Master of Counseling degree from Palo Alto University. Her work has been with adult clients living with the effects of trauma from exposure to neglect, discrimination, violence, and other adverse experiences. She has additional training with sexual health issues and currently working toward a sex therapy certification. To ensure flexibility for individual needs while providing the most effective treatment, she uses several methods to address depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress. Danita uses an intersectional lens to explore overlapping factors and the diverse identities that impact a person's mental health, such as gender and gender identity, sexual orientation, age, income, religion, ability, and ethnicity. She believes everyone deserves a safe and non-judgmental space and is dedicated to providing that for her clients. Outside of work, she enjoys playing with her Boston Terrier pup, playing board games and cooking for her family.
