Anissa Joseph is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Alabama and has a Master of Education Degree in Counseling from Winthrop University. Anissa has over two decades of experience working in community mental health, residential treatment centers, and the emergency department while treating patients experiencing anxiety, depression, and serious mental illness, such as bipolar and schizophrenia. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and believes in a holistic approach to therapy and aims to achieve optimal health and wellness by aligning all parts of a person, including their body, mind, spirit, and emotions. Anissa is passionate about reducing the stigma around mental health and bridging the gap to make services available for all. In her free time, Anissa enjoys long walks while listening to music, creating new recipes in the kitchen with her children, and watching movies on Netflix.
