Cora “Denice” Gipson-Prude is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Nursing in 2007 from Samford University. She continued her education to receive a Master of Science in Nursing/ Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner degree in 2011 from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Since graduation, she has worked to serve patients and the community as a provider and educator. She has worked with the veteran population in the outpatient setting, providing care to adults and geriatrics. She also provides mental health awareness by conducting seminars in underserved communities.
As a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, Cora brings compassion, interpersonal communication, and a sweet sense of humor, making it easy to interact with patients and family members. She is passionate in her pursuit of helping patients with mental health needs. She takes a holistic approach in listening to and educating patients to meet their needs. Serving others is her top priority.
Away from work, Cora enjoys spending time with her family, reading, volunteering, visiting historical sites, and embracing the Words of God.
