ABOUT Taylor Parrino

Taylor Parrino is a Care Counselor at Cerebral with a background in youth and young adult trauma recovery. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from California State University, San Marcos and her Master of Science degree in Psychology from Arizona State University. Her professional background includes teaching special education and working in trauma and crisis recovery on a children’s hospital inpatient psychiatric unit. She has experience working with clients and patients ranging in diagnoses and experiences from development disabilities, personality and mood disorders, significant trauma and abuse histories, and other mental health impairments. In graduate school, Taylor focused her research on the impact that mood disorders have on psychosocial development. She believes in a trust-based approach to cognitive behaviorism and aims to challenge maladaptive thinking and behaviors by improving emotion regulation and developing helpful, personalized strategies to target recurring problems. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors with her two huskies, trying new recipes in the kitchen, and watching classic thriller films!

The greatest revolution of our generation is the discovery that human beings, by changing the inner attitudes of their minds, can change the outer aspects of their lives. - William James
