LaVonda Collins has a personal passion in social services that started at the age of 9. She has 14 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and their families in various settings; which has helped shape her therapeutic approach. LaVonda uses a Cognitive Behavioral approach to focus on thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to help improve the quality of life of individuals and families. Her areas of specialty include: Depression, ADHD, Autism, Trauma, Behavioral issues, Bipolar disorder, and Juveniles. She holds a Master's of Education Degree in School Counseling from Wilmington University, as well as a post Master Certificate in Child and Family Counseling. Her Training Consists of Crisis Intervention Prevention, Psychological First Aid, Mental Health First Aid, Case Conceptualization and Treatment plans, motivational interviewing and Think First Evidenced Based Interventions and CBITS (Cognitive Behavior Intervention for Trauma in Schools). LaVonda uses her experience and education to promote holistic wellness. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, attending concerts, traveling and being a foodie.
