ABOUT Christina Desiato

Christina has a Master’s degree in Mental Health and Wellness. She also recently received a Post-MS in Counseling: Addiction Counseling Certificate Program from Grand Canyon University. She has experience working with military members and their families; understanding how PTSD and the impact of unresolved mental health illnesses and life stressors can have on one’s health and well-being. She believes that counseling is a collaborative process and guides clients to increase self-awareness, gain new perspectives, decrease symptoms, and increase personal strengths. She has experience helping others who struggle with PTSD, anxiety, depression, insomnia, and addiction. She implements a strengths-based approach when working with clients and uses person-centered, behavioral activation, cognitive behavioral, and motivational interviewing approaches. Christina is passionate about utilizing her education, experience, and skills to promote mental health and wellness. She believes in a holistic approach, recognizing the connection of physical, mental, and emotional health. In her spare time, Christina enjoys spending time with family, hiking, physical fitness, camping, cooking, and traveling.
