A trigger can be anything that makes us remember a past memory, positive or negative. Sometimes triggers can set off a flashback to the past that intrudes on the present, making the experience seem as if it is occurring right now. Triggers may include people, environments, objects, or certain smells or sounds. By logging our triggers, we can become more aware of them and feel more prepared to cope with them.
