Emily Hochwald is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of experience in healthcare. She began her career as a registered nurse working in various emergency and trauma centers across the country, she went on to earn a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. After graduation, she worked in primary and urgent care until she found her calling working at a New York State residential facility caring for individuals with intellectual disabilities and severe psychiatric illness. Her past work experiences have exposed her to a variety of cultures, socioeconomic conditions, work-place systems, and countless health conditions which have influenced her passion for providing respectful and holistic care to individuals while promoting and working toward improved access to mental healthcare.
