Approach to Therapy

Yocasta uses an eclectic style of therapy which combines humanistic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and the use of mindfulness during sessions. She has treated symptoms related to: depression, anxiety, life transitions, self-esteem, substance abuse, conflicts within the work environment, childhood trauma, stress and anticipatory anxiety impacting academic careers, and intimate partner and domestic violence. Her goal is to create a unique space for the client that promotes safety and empowerment while they are introspective and delve into their thought patterns and emotions.

Yocasta Almonte is a Licensed Master Social Worker. She received an MSW degree from the Hunter College Silberman School of Social Work with a concentration in clinical case work with children, youth, and families.
