Approach to Therapy

Wendy has extensive history working with individuals in all lifespans. She has most recently worked with terminally ill clients and family members. These experiences give her a unique approach to working with clients through a grief and loss lens. Everyone experiences loss throughout their lives and Wendy believes it’s important to create a safe space for others to grieve, in whatever way feels best for them. Wendy’s therapy approach is client centered, allowing her to meet her clients where they are in the therapeutic process and allow each client to direct their treatment. She is particularly drawn to solution-focused therapy and strengths-based therapeutic approaches. She specializes in working with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, loss, and transitions and adjustments. Her empathy, compassion, and warmth help to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can process and heal.
