Tahirat perspective towards therapy is that it is a combined team effort focused on the wellbeing of the clients' mental health by providing tools, techniques and strategies that can be used on a daily basis. Tahirat Nasiru is a NY based Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LMSW), specializing in one on one counseling for individuals with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) including depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, and interpersonal issues. Tahirat comes from a multicultural background with over 9 years of experience servicing individuals of various cultures, ethnicities, religious beliefs and sexual orientation. She received her Master of Social Work degree from Silberman School of Social Work with a specialization in Children, Youth, and Families. She also received training and education in recovery oriented, evidence-based practices for adults diagnosed with Serious Mental Illness.Specialties
