Pamela R. Gray

Therapist

Approach to Therapy

Ms. Gray has a long and storied history in the field of mental health, both in the community she grew up in and abroad. She has developed the gift of being able to meet her clients where they are at and looking through the file that is her mind to see if there is a match to something in her past that would be helpful or useful here in the present while remembering to remain person-centered to the client that is sitting in front of her. Having such a long history in the mental health field allows her to be able to work with the client in ways that work and are helpful so that they might be improving quickly while developing their treatment plan and picking the modality that is best for them.

Experience

Ms. Gray is originally from Southern OK, where she received her education and bachelor's and master's degrees, graduating in 1999 and going on to become licensed. She also received credit for attending the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma, as well as the University of North Texas at Denton, Texas. She was originally licensed in Oklahoma in 2007 and was working strictly in Oklahoma until 2017, when she moved to Denton, Texas, and took a job in a private psychiatric hospital there.

Hobbies and Interests

Ms. Gray has many hobbies. Her favorite ones are coloring on her phone on the Happy Color app. She likes to read fiction written by about various authors. Living in Galveston would be wasteful if she didn't spend at least one whole day at the beach with her partner once a week, so they do! Taking their beach wagon, ice chest, chairs, etc... well, you get the picture. The ocean has a natural way of calming a person's spirit! There is Mardi Gras in February, and then the season of the island being swarmed by tourists begins. She likes to cook and watch cooking videos on FB.
