In her practice, Leslie draws upon a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), narrative therapy, psychodynamic therapy, solution-focused therapy, and trauma-informed treatment. Leslie strives to create a collaborative, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel supported in their efforts to grow and change, and she is passionate about improving access to mental health treatment for all who are seeking help.

Experience

Leslie Lass received her master of social work (MSW) degree from Simmons University in Boston, Massachusetts, and also has a PhD with a focus on education from the Union Institute & University in Cincinnati, Ohio. Leslie has experience helping individuals with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, adjustment to illness, life and career transitions, self-esteem, and other issues. Currently, Leslie is working towards licensure in Virginia and has been approved by the Virginia Board of Social Work for supervision with DeAnna Hight, LCSW.
