Approach to Therapy

In working together, you and Kayla can cultivate growth by understanding obstacles you face and developing solutions that can help you gain control of your life and achieve your goals. Life is too short to surrender to bad relationships, substances, or let emotions control us. Kayla believes that change happens when people are given the guidance and support they need to draw on their own strengths and realize their potential to live fulfilling, joyful lives.

Experience

Some of the modalities Kayla utilizes are cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and a person-centered approach. Rather than adopting one methodology for all individuals and challenges, Kayla draws from a variety of methods to create a more individualistic approach for each situation and therapeutic need.

Specialties

Addiction, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorders, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Coping with Life Changes, Depression, Family Conflicts, Grief & Loss, Relationship Challenges, Self Esteem and Confidence, Stress Management, Substance Use Disorder (SUD), Wellness, Women's Health

Hobbies and Interests

When Kayla is not working, you can find her camping, sitting around a fire, swimming, kayaking, and/or fishing. Kayla also enjoys reading, playing pool, doing puzzles, and playing video games. Kayla has three dogs: a French bulldog, an Akita, and a German Shepherd mix.
