Approach to Therapy

Jordan’s greatest goal in her role as a Care Counselor is to create a supportive, judgement free space that allows her clients to find healthy perceptions of themselves and their circumstances in order to find solutions to their issues and reach their goals. She builds this environment by utilizing a person-centered approach and practicing various evidence-based techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, grounding exercises, and mindfulness.

Experience

Jordan holds a Master's degree in Social Work from The University of Oklahoma and is a Licensed Master Social Worker in the state of Oklahoma. Jordan’s experience is diversified with a wide variety of populations and settings including adults with chronic illnesses in hospitals, homeless children and their families, and expecting and postpartum mothers in an outpatient women’s health clinic. Her colorful resume has deeply influenced her innate ability to connect and relate to her patients and clients that present with a multitude of backgrounds and dilemmas such as depression, anxiety, bereavement, and trauma.
