Dr. BJ uses an integrative client-centered approach to develop a therapeutic environment established on trust, respect, and honesty to assist clients in meeting their recovery goals. Dr. BJ is a strong advocate for the promotion of mental health recovery and the utilization of holistic psychotherapy with clients.

Dr. Benton-Johnson is credentialed with the National Register of Health Service Psychologists (Certification #: 6537). She has the authority to practice Telepsychology under PSYPACT (Mobility #: 6537). Dr. BJ has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Louisville (2001), a Master of Arts in Community-Clinical Psychology from Norfolk State University (2003), and a Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology from Georgia School of Professional Psychology (2008). She has 14 years of cumulative government service working at agencies such as, the Maryland Department of Mental Health and Hygiene, the U.S. Department of Defense, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, and the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities.
