Approach to Therapy

Dr. Corinne Votaw comes from a Gestalt & Emotion-Focused training background, helping patients and clients understand how they work and enabling them to choose to change or maintain behaviors and beliefs. Dr. Votaw believes in enabling people to make decisions and helping them remove the roadblocks they face. She believes in helping people learn to help themselves and avoid dependence on a mental health provider.

Experience

Dr. Votaw completed her PsyD at Loma Linda University in California, with four years of experience working on native/indigenous peoples' reservations. Upon completion of the program, the majority of her work has been with the LGBTQ+ population, people in or leaving religious communities, and in private practice settings for general psychological assistance.
