Andrea J. Reyes-Cuarenta

Therapist

Approach to Therapy

Andrea enjoys working with individuals of different ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, and religious backgrounds struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, family issues, adjustment issues, parenting and other life stressors. Throughout every step of the therapy process, Andrea's goal is to treat each individual and their story with the utmost respect and to help them become more resilient so that they feel comfortable enough to process their past, and confident enough to navigate difficult life events. Andrea has a "laid back" approach to therapy and enjoys meeting clients where they are.

Experience

Andrea attended John Brown University, where she received her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with an emphasis in play therapy, in 2019. Andrea thrives on an eclectic approach in therapy, primarily utilizing cognitive-behavioral, client-centered, dialectical behavioral, and solution-focused techniques in her practice. Her experience working with clients throughout the lifespan allows her to tailor interventions to meet the client at their developmental level in order to promote success in therapy.
