Bio
Nerkissa Dixon is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. She earned her undergraduate nursing degree, and her Master of Science in Nursing degree from the University of South Alabama. She earned her Doctorate of Education from Walden University. She has over 16 years of nursing experience which consists of caring for individuals with psychiatric illnesses, traumatic injuries, and general medical conditions at a level one trauma center in Alabama. She currently teaches undergraduate nursing courses at the University of South Alabama College of Nursing. She is passionate about providing high-quality, evidence-based mental health treatment. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music and traveling.
