Bio
Angela is a dual certified Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with 9 years of combined experience. Angela started her career in family practice in rural Arkansas in 2016 where she quickly saw the need for increased access to mental health care that includes providing care for the whole body “holistic care”. She treated anxiety, depression, and ADHD to individuals ages 6 and up. Due to the increased demand, more complexed patients, and decreased access to care, she returned to school and became certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in 2022. Since receiving her certification, she has continued to work with clients with anxiety, depression, and ADHD but also has successful clients with bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, OCD, and substance use. She has experience with treatment vía Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) treating substance use disorder. Angela is a strong believer in patient-led care where all care is agreed upon with a provider-client discussion and agreement. She believes the patient (caregiver in some cases) is the driver of the car and she is the passenger. We are on this journey together.Gender
