ABOUT Vera J. Dunlap

Vera Dunlap is an associate marriage and family therapist (AMFT125765) and a practicing clinical counselor associate (APCC9637) employed by Cerebral, supervised by Alicia Garcia, LCSW. Vera received her Master's degree in psychology at National University in California, with a concentration in clinical counseling and marriage/family therapy. She also has two associates degrees (AA's) in human development and psychology (Shasta Community College) as well as a bachelor's degree (BA) in psychology (Simpson University) in California. Vera has experience in forensic psychotherapy, child/family therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness techniques, solution focused brief therapy, play therapy, emotions focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and person-centered therapy. She is passionate about destigmatizing society's outlook of mental health treatment, creating a safe place for a person to be their authentic self. In Vera's free time she enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her family and pets.
