Venessia Johnson, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, who currently practices in the State of Mississippi. She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, from the University of Southern Mississippi, and a Master’s of Social Work from Jackson State University. Her mission is to enhance quality of life by empowering clients and providing them with tools and skills that will promote emotional well-being, wholeness and resiliency. She is passionate about working with a variety of clients to assess/identify strengths and/or weaknesses; diagnose problematic moods, behaviors and family dysfunctions while providing support to individuals, groups regarding emotional problems or family situations.
She works with clients to foster the development of new improved coping, problem solving and communication skills by utilizing therapeutic interventions such as, “Strength-Based Therapy”, “Solution-Focused Therapy” and “Cognitive Behavioral Therapy”. Venessia's practice includes working with clients diagnosed with various diagnoses such as, Adjustment Disorders, Anxiety, ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorders, Impulse Control Disorders, Conduct Disorders and others.
