Tara Steinke is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California. She received her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University with an emphasis on trauma studies. Tara welcomes a collaborative process with clients and tends to use a mix of Narrative/Relational /CBT/ ACT & Mindfulness and sex-positive approaches to working with clients. She is a current member of AASECT with the goal of becoming an AASECT certified sex therapist in the near future. Tara loves working with clients who are struggling with career and life transitions, anxiety, grief and loss, stress management, and relationship concerns. She is also a 500-hour RYT certified yoga and meditation teacher. Tara has a background working as a sexual assault advocate and brings a strong passion and skill set for working with individuals with sexual trauma histories. When she is not working, Tara can be found with her Chihuahua (Homer), hiking, reading, watching film & TV and working on creative writing projects.
