SuKura earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from California State University- Northridge. She has also earned a Master’s in Science in Criminology from Regis University and earned a Master’s in Arts in Professional Counseling emphasis in Trauma from Grand Canyon University. SuKura focuses on a client centered approach where the client is the expert. She believes when clients take an active role, they can begin to find their strength to heal. SuKura uses different techniques to challenge negative thought patterns and cognitive distortions. She believes that each client can be empowered and find a renewed since of joy and hope to make change in their lives. SuKura’s passion is shown through her ability to assist her clients with being the best version of themselves. Her compassion, empathy and caring combined with her education help to provide the best psychotherapy. SuKura enjoys empowering others, reading books and spending time with her family and friends. She also loves learning and developing culture awareness.
