ABOUT Sidney Bash

Sidney Bash is a Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC C.2002978. Employed by Cerebral. Supervised by Stefanie Day, PCC-S. She received her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Sidney spent a year of training at UPMC's STAR Clinic, where she specialized in treating college-aged students suffering from suicidal ideation. She likes to help her clients find meaning in their current situations and symptoms through a mix of Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Narrative Therapy. These approaches and their techniques show clients that there is often more than one truth to a situation, as life is lived in the grey areas. She empowers her clients to rewrite their own narrative of the past in order to pave the way for a more authentic and fulfilling future. Sidney believes in creating a safe space for clients to reflect, work on self-acceptance, and build a skillset that will help them navigate their emotions and interpersonal relationships more effectively. In her free time, she enjoys spoiling her two American Akitas, Loki and Nani, and watching The Real Housewives Shows on Bravo.

The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change. - Carl Rogers
