Shannon Curry received her Master of Science degree specializing in Mental Health Counseling from Plattsburgh State University. Over her career she has worked in various settings including group homes, correctional facilities, and Mental health and Addiction Outpatient clinics. Shannon has experience in trauma informed care, addiction therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution focused therapy. She believes in a holistic approach to therapy and supports people in identifying the more complex factors that contribute to distressing symptoms while focusing on the resiliency human beings possess. She is passionate about helping people advocate and empower themselves. In her free time, Shannon enjoys listening to and playing music, sailing, yoga, and spending time in the outdoors, especially her garden.
