Scarlet Chatman is a Licensed Professional Counselor experienced in working with severe mental illness, victims of abuse/neglect, and refugee/immigrating populations. She received her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University with additional emphasis on crisis intervention and forensic psychology. She is also a certified anxiety treatment professional (CCATP). Scarlet has experience in Neurological-based anxiety treatment, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Reality Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) and Trauma Informed care. She believes in building trust and engaging on a humanistic level that leads to empowerment, growth and deep self-awareness. She is passionate about making mental health a part of everyday life through combatting stigma and de-colonizing the counseling process while making access to care and support easy and affordable to all. In her free time, Scarlet enjoys spending time with her pet, reading, traveling, and sharing great food and drink with friends and family.
