ABOUT Rachel B. Flinn

Rachel Flinn is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW Texas #57425). Employed by Cerebral. Supervised by Brianna Garrison, LCSW-S. Rachel received a Bachelor of Arts in Human Geography from The University of Texas at Austin and is a proud UT alumna (Hook ‘em Horns!). Rachel went on to earn her Master of Social Work in 2012 from The University of Houston and has been practicing social work since 2013. She has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly. Rachel is trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Concurrent Treatment of PTSD and Substance Use Disorders Using Prolonged Exposure (COPE). She specializes in the treatment of trauma, especially in first responders, veterans, and older adults. Rachel is also a trained yoga teacher and often incorporates mindfulness, breathing techniques, gratitude, and grounding practices into her client’s treatment. When it comes to mental health, Rachel is passionate about reducing the stigma associated with treatment and is a strong advocate for removing other barriers to accessing care. Outside of clinical practice, you can find Rachel at her Crossfit gym or spending time with her husband and children.
