Melissa Collins is a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW-CP). She received her Master of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Melissa has experience using Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed practices to empower clients to set and achieve their goals. She uses a strengths-based approach to help clients construct ways to work through struggles and get to their desired future. She is passionate about reframing the way we look at mental health treatment by providing a positive, accessible experience with therapy. In her free time, Melissa can be found out on a jog, tending to her houseplants, or shopping for her next pair of sneakers. Melissa sees clients early in the morning and is here to serve her fellow early risers.
