Melissa Jones is a Licensed Social Worker, with Advanced Certification in Palliative Care, certified in Thanatology, Telemental Health & Motivational Interviewing. She is Trauma-Informed, Compassion-Focused, Perinatal Mood Disorder trained and offers holistic care (mind, body, soul) with meditation and breath work. She prefers working with clients through an Attachment Theory lens utilizing Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Therapy, Family Systems, & Psychodynamic Theory as models of treatment. She is obtaining advanced licensure for which she is required to work for a set period of time under supervision and receives clinical supervision from Laura Silverman, LCSW. Her specialties are guiding her clients work through ADHD, stress, chronic illness, caregiving, women’s issues (preconception, pregnancy, & postpartum, fertility challenges, menopausal depression, etc), grief, & the deeper, more complex underlying (anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, etc). Melissa loves most walking alongside brave journeyers, ready to face both their shadow & light. She enjoys working with individuals of all colors, religions, genders/identities, and belief systems.
