As a therapist, Melissa aims to be in your corner, strives to create a safe space, provide compassion and honesty, and give support. She believes many factors impact who you are today (such as your upbringing, cultural influences, past relationships, and more), but they do not have to determine your future. Melissa is an integrative therapist with a person-centered approach because she believes every individual is unique and needs their own specific treatment plan to process pain. Melissa has a wide range of experience (from crisis units to private practice) and works with clientele from contrasting backgrounds. She is passionate about empowering others and has experience with issues such as anxiety/depression, trauma, self esteem, grief/loss, divorce, sexuality, anger, stress/time management, PTSD, LGBTQ+, and more. In her free time, Melissa enjoys the outdoors (kayaking and hiking) and time with her sweet shih tzu, Charlie.
