Maureen Fannin has been practicing clinical social work in Virginia since 1997. She feels therapy is a meaningful way to break through barriers, create purposeful intentions, change life patterns, and have a positive sense of agency. Maureen has an eclectic style of practice but tends to lean towards a cognitive behavioral approach and strategies that utilize mindfulness approaches to help blend the mind and the body. She specializes in working with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, PTSD, relationship difficulties, overcoming narcissistic abuse, self esteem and stress related issues. She is also comfortable assisting clients with different cultures, gender fluidity, and the LGBTQ community. Maureen enjoys spending time with her family, friends and dog Lucy, who brightens her day everyday. In her spare time, she enjoys painting abstract portraits and figurative art, and believes that a creative life is the best life.
