Marcy Ruland is a Licensed Master Social Worker, LMSW 067075. Employed by Cerebral. Supervised by Kathryn Simons, Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Marcy received her Master of Social Work from The University at Albany School of Social Welfare with her undergraduate work in Psychology. Marcy’s extensive background involves a diverse client population experiencing chronic illness, depression, anxiety, as well as grief and loss. She uses a client focused approach and has experience utilizing cognitive behavioral strategies as well as mindfulness techniques. Marcy believes whole-heartedly in establishing a strong rapport with her clients to foster a safe environment and build a good therapeutic relationship. She has great passion for empathy and genuineness and believes that everyone deserves to be happy. Marcy believes there needs to be an overall greater concern in the world for mental health care and the ability to gain access to it. In her spare time, she enjoys listening to music, cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family and dog.
