ABOUT Maranatha Nelson

Maranatha is a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern. She received her Master of Social Work from Barry University. She also received her Bachelor of Social Work with a minor in Psychology from Barry University. Maranatha has experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Trauma Informed Care. She believes in developing a therapeutic relationships that incorporates various holistic methods in order to empower and promote the well-being of the client. Maranatha is passionate about increasing the accessibility to mental health care services for all while creating awareness that decreases the stigma surrounding mental health. In her free time, she enjoys attending outings with her son, listening to podcast, being outdoors and watching Netflix.
