ABOUT Madalina Stancu

Madalina Stancu is an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC #8832) in California, under clinical supervision from Miranda Furie, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW#67600). She received her Masters degree in Clinical Counseling from Grand Canyon University. Madalina has experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Positive Psychology, Mindfulness interventions, and also works from a Holistic and Person-Centered approach. She also has experience working in inpatient hospital settings working with individuals in crisis and with serious mental illnesses. Madalina strives in building strong therapeutic relationships, and believes in collaborating with her clients to help them achieve their goals. She is down to earth, compassionate, welcoming, and offers a safe and supportive environment. Madalina believes that all individuals have the capability to improve their overall well-being by learning how to effectively respond to difficult situations and overcome their fears. She is passionate about eliminating the stigma surrounding mental health treatment and improving access to mental health care for all. In her free time, Madalina enjoys reading a good book, doing cardio workouts, cooking and experimenting with new recipes, and spending time with her family and friends.
