Lucero Castellanos-Aguirre is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI) in the state of Florida and is supervised by Beliza Perez, LMHC. Lucero earned a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Andrews University in Michigan. She uses an integrative therapy model, combining different evidence-based therapeutic tools and approaches to fit the needs of each individual client. Lucero specializes in gender identity exploration, depression and anxiety, trauma, situational distress and adjustment issues, self-harm and self-esteem. She believes in the healing power of authentic connection and strives to create space for vulnerable moments, profound realizations, and uninhibited emotions as a means to facilitate client empowerment. She is a strong advocate for increasing accessibility of mental health services to both the Latinx and LGBTQ+ communities. In her free time, Lucero can be found out in nature, painting, entertaining her rambunctious dog, practicing yoga, trying out new coffee shops, or spending quality time with loved ones.
