Linda Schartman's main philosophy is that the person is not the problem. As a team, we identify, describe, and put the problem in its place. She has the most experience working with clients who have heavy trauma and also with people who struggle with addictions. She is a part of the LGBTQIA+ communities and also has experienced challenges related to neurodivergence. She is a creative person and welcomes others who think outside of the box–writers, musicians, artists, animal lovers, vegetarians, nature junkies, political activists, or just other free-thinking individuals! She celebrates BIPOC communities and owns up to any privilege that may limit her understanding: she works to improve her cultural competencies every day. She starts where you are, working with your values, your culture, your goals and never ever judging. She is truly excited to work with you!
The person is not the problem. The problem is the problem. - Michael White, founder of Narrative Therapy
