Lara Murdock is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). She has a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Hawaii. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), SMART Recovery, Eagala Equine Therapy, in addition to extensive knowledge in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Lara has worked for the past 15 years in many different settings. Lara's counseling style is a combination of warm and empathetic, along with tactful honesty and accountability. She believes in mutual respect, compassion, and in allowing her clients to take ownership of their therapy. She creates a balance within her counseling style based on her clients particular needs and preferences. Lara believes it takes a great amount of courage to ask for help and her goal is to help empower you to improve what is working well for you and give you the tools to help change what is not working for you.
