Kiersten is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) specializing in trauma recovery treatment. She prioritizes a collaborative and individualized approach in the healing process to sync with each person's unique needs in their healing journey. Kiersten is passionate about helping clients recognize, feel, and utilize the immense wisdom of our physical bodies, while also working through stored trauma and stress. In this holistic approach, she recognizes that healing takes place in the body, mind, and spirit, and she practices through the lens of cultural humility as she continues to work on decolonizing herself and the therapeutic process.
Kiersten completed her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Marquette University with a specialization in substance use treatment. She utilizes Schema Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Somatic Therapy, and Psychodynamic interventions.
In her free time, Kiersten loves to run, spend time outdoors, write mindfulness scripts, and listen to live music.
