She is a Licensed Social Worker in Colorado working under supervision and her passion has always been focused on working to support others in their journey toward wellness and life satisfaction. Karen enjoys working with teens, adults, families, and couples to increase awareness, gain new perspectives, help make meaning to current experiences, and gain a more fulfilling life. She strives to foster a safe space for clients to tell their stories and uses an eclectic approach utilizing various theoretical approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Solutions Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). Areas of interest are depression, anxiety, grief/loss, family communication, and relationship concerns. When Karen is not dedicating time to helping others, she loves to play golf, garden, cook, play with her favorite Labrador, and travel.

The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change. - Carl Rogers
