Kara Smith is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. She received her Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Central Florida. Kara has experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Trauma Informed Care. She also has had specialized training in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). Kara believes in building a strong therapeutic relationship with clients in order to promote trust and openness, both of which are vital in working toward growth. She is passionate about increasing access to mental health services and guiding clients through their journey of wellness. In her free time, Kara enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, and going on adventures with her two young children.
