Jessamy Klapper is a Licensed Master Social Worker, LMSW #105108. Employed by Cerebral. Supervised by Kathryn Simons, Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Jessamy graduated from Rutgers School of Social Work in 2018, with a concentration in Clinical Social Work and a certificate in Violence Against Women and Children. She uses a combination of CBT, DBT skills, mindfulness, and creative interventions that help bring people back in touch with their full selves, and to come ‘unstuck’ from cycles that are holding them back. As a former student of literature and journalism, Jessamy is deeply familiar with the power of listening, and keenly aware of how stories - external and internal - both define and change lives. Jessamy has extensive experience in helping survivors of interpersonal violence and others to find safety and recover from trauma. Jessamy believes that everyone deserves & can benefit from the space that therapy provides to know and love oneself. In her free time, she enjoys singing, writing, hiking, baking, knitting and painting, although she is not equally talented in every category!
