ABOUT Jane Suh

Jane Suh is a Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW) #0903003352 and Supervisee in Clinical Social Work in Virginia. Jane is employed by Cerebral and supervised by Rachel Meyer, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Jane received her Master of Social Work from Smith College School for Social Work with an emphasis in psychodynamic psychotherapy. In conjunction with her studies at Smith, she completed a PhD in French Literature at Emory University and a two-year program in the training and study of psychoanalysis from the Emory University Psychoanalytic Institute. Utilizing a flexible and eclectic mix of trauma-informed care and evidence-based modalities, such as dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, and solution-focused psychotherapy, Jane tailors each of her sessions to meet the unique and immediate needs of her clients. She is a deep and attentive listener who helps clients locate their strengths and find clarity and healing in their experiences and memories. Jane believes that, as clinicians, we help clients to acknowledge complex situations and create meaning and language for their suffering. As a spouse of an active-duty service member and a daughter of first generation Korean American immigrants, Jane is deeply passionate about reducing mental health stigma in communities of color and empowering all people to achieve their fullest potential and find their true selves.
