Jamie Jacobsen is a Licensed Social Worker. She received her BSW and BA from Briar Cliff University, then went on to earn her Master of Social Work from Boston College. Jamie is also certified in Thanatology (dying, death and bereavement) by the Association for Death Education and Counseling. Jamie has previously specialized in working with clients with life-limiting illnesses and those who are grieving losses. She is passionate about working to clients’ strengths, goal-setting, and validating grief and its impact on clients’ lives and growth. Jamie has empowered clients through CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), BAT (Behavioral Activation Therapy), and Solution-Focused Therapy. In her free time, Jamie enjoys running, baking, hiking, reading, watching hockey, and spending time with her family.
