ABOUT Gina Nepa

Gina Nepa is a Licensed Master Social Worker, Board #108279, and Licensed Social Worker Associate Independent Clinical, Board #60871968. Employed by Cerebral. Supervised by Barbara Gaffney, LICSW and Jamesa Staten, LCSW. She received her Master’s of Social Work from the University of Washington and holds a Graduate Certificate in Substance Abuse Counseling. Gina draws from Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Attachment-Based Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. She practices therapy through the lens of Health at Every Size/body neutrality, sex positivity, and harm reduction. She is particularly passionate about working with LGBTQIA2S+-identified individuals, and believes that liberation of shame is imperative in a strong therapeutic partnership. Gina is invested in de-stigmatizing all experiences of mental health. In her free time, she enjoys reading memoirs, going to the movies, and performing poetry.
